It only lasted about 30 mins (was only sched for 45). That was pretty much on par w/ everything I saw on AviationInterviews.com. Started out w/ interviewers introducing themselves and then they asked me to ‘tell me about yourself’. I gave them my intro. The end of my intro, I briefly touched on ‘why Avelo’. Hoping that the next question would be...

The interview process was just a conversation, why Avelo, prior training failures, what base you would want. They ultimately want someone who’s going to live and work in the base they get assigned as it’s mostly all turns the company does. They invited around 30 people to the interview and did not expect all to show up so it took about 8hrs to get my interview done and about half of the interviewers left by that time so my interview lasted 8mins. Majority of the debriefs as... -

Interview was at HQ in Houston. We met at the lobby and a recruiter checked us in as you enter the room. After a short brief of who was in the room, they take all the group outside and starts calling randomly 4 people at the time. Question were TMAAT, (view the study guide of this website). All short questions, no technical questions were... -

Got there and watched a company presentation. After that we were called one by one and sat down to talk to four company representatives (HR, Chief Pilot, VP Operations). Pretty straight forward, no pitfalls they just want to know you, so be yourself! Be prepared to answer why do you want to work for Avelo, thats the biggest question of the whole process, they are expecting a big grow for next years (6 - 8 airplanes per... -

It was pilot meet and greet at Houston HQ. They reached out individually to invite people online and about 40-45 pilots showed up. Started with quick intro about the company, where the company is going, future plans. They stressed out that if you are to be hired - you will get either HVN or ILG as a base. Most trips are day trips, so you are expected to live at base, or have place to stay during your rotation. Then everyone went back to lobby and were called 4 pilots a time to talk to HR,... -

A group of about 30-40 pilots were invited down to Houston for a meet and greet with various important higher-ups in the company. They pulled us into the room a couple at a time to talk one on one. That was based on check-in time so definitely recommend getting there early or you might have to wait awhile. The questions asked were in line with all the other interviews on this site. Did not get any technical, just tmaat. Why Avelo is the important... -

Coming from a 121 background I had a HR/Bheavioural interview mostly, a Hiring Manager and a Captain interviewed me. The interview process was very friendly, mostly a discussion and understanding whether or not you'll fit with their culture and their service offering. Then Questions asked, (view the study guide of this website). ... -

Interviewed, it sounds like they had a couple spots open that they needed to fill on short notice. Very friendly and laid back. Coming from 121 I was asked to brief an approach into HVN but everything else was TMAAT questions. They are looking for first officers who are living in an Avelo base and close to their 1000 SIC hours. Avelo is going to be a destination for pilots and they are looking for those who will stay and... -

The Interview was a relaxed experience, I had to read a metar, I didn't know two things Hal was nice and he told me what they were. Also had to brief an approach, asked how would I fly this approach in visual conditions ( they are looking for configuration/ gear down etc (3nm to FAF be fully configured/ stabilized approach criteria). Hal is looking for pilots that seem to be the ones that are easy to get along with and personalities are a match for a great work environment (small company so... -

My background consists of mostly helicopter time In the military. Recently completed my ratings and time building; was hired at a 135 operation with 500 hours fixed wing time. The interview was on Teams with the chief pilot and Director of human resources. Questions were very similar to the ones listed in the previous posts. Tell me about a time, why Avelo, explain any unsat check rides and what got me into flying versus other occupations. There were no technical questions, pretty cut...
