  • The interview experience was delightful. They really made everything as easy as possible to create a relaxed environment to be interviewed in. I stayed in the hotel across the street from the training center. The interview was at 10am, and I showed up a bit over an hour early. The morning of my interview I walked across the street to the training center, and the gate security buzzed me in and gave me directions to the building my interview would be at. I checked in at the front desk where they gave me a temporary badge and guided me to the cafeteria where I waited to be picked up by the interviewers. Once one of the hiring representatives arrived, they guided my group through the building where we dropped off our logbooks/flight plans, and bags. They gave us a quick tour of their museum area, which helped...

Hello everyone! If you're scrolling through this at midnight, nervously worrying about your upcoming United Aviate interview and trying to guess what questions you'll be asked--relax. Take a deep breath. You’ve got this! Let’s start with the logistics. I booked a room at a hotel (literally across the street from the United FTC) about two weeks before my interview. The price? Let’s just say it wasn’t amazing, but it wasn’t highway robbery either. I flew in the...

Never thought I would say this about an interview, but my experience interviewing with United’s Aviate was an absolute blast. From the check-in to the tour of the facilities to the interview itself, United works extremely hard to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. The time I submitted my application to the date of my in person interview was 3.5 months. Don’t be discouraged if it takes a while- opposed to many companies, they have real people reviewing your application which...

The interview at United was nice, first they give you a tour of the building led by one of their pilots. They want you to succeed and everyone that walked by even if they were not part of the interview process made it a point to say hello. Dress sharp! The other interviewees will be also. Once the interview starts it is about 90 minutes with a 5 minute break between the HR questions and the technical portion. There will be at least two people conducting the interview, one will be from HR and...

The United Aviate Interview was a phenomenal experience. I had a lot of fun, more than expected. There was nothing that I was not prepared for. They laid out the entire process, and they stuck to it. After submitting my initial application, it took about 10 weeks to hear about the next steps. I then received an invite to participate in their Online Leadership Assessment. This is a personality quiz, and there is no way to prepare for it. Just answer the questions honestly. A few days went by,...

Overall great experience! Very smooth and welcoming. United provides a very respectful and welcoming environment which really helps reduce the tensions. They started us out at the cafeteria where we met with other interviewers. They then took us on a tour at their museum to help alleviate the nerves. After the tour they send you to a classroom where you wait to be called for your interview. Interview was very smooth and just like the other reviews on here said it was like. It’s about...

The interviewers were really friendly since the start, and throughout the interview. They were really specific on what they wanted from you. And throughout the entire interview they made you feel relax and comfortable. Really good experience over all. Helpful tips: come prepared with all your documents asked for, memories the criteria they gave you and as well do some research on the company and add it to some of your...

I got there and sat at a table with the other interviewees. We chatted before a pilot came out to take us on a brief tour of the facilities. They then brought us to a room by HR where we met with the pilot who would be part of the interview panel. They led us to our interview rooms and we got started. The panel started with the HR portion, consisting of TMAAT questions. I was asked about five questions, which included both aviation and non-aviation-related questions. After this, I was given...

Interview was scheduled for 0800. They request you arrive an hour early. I showed up at 0700, cleared security, and was led to the cafeteria where other candidates were waiting (6 total). An HR rep took us on a brief tour of the facility, and we dropped off our logbooks for review. We were led into a small classroom where the HR rep talked about the interview process and a little about United. One by one, a pilot interviewer came into the room and called us back. The first portion...

My interview was for the United Aviate program as a student entering the United Aviate Academy with their Private Pilot License. The interview guide that Aviate sent me was, while not very long, inclusive of everything that was asked during the interview and did a good job of setting my expectations. One of the things that the guide told me to bring to the interview was a flight plan to my highest level of training, in my case a VFR plan at the PPL level. I prepared a flight plan...

Gouges of the interviews were spot on and they were helpful. Most of them were very detailed and provide questions that I got in the interview.
