My UMPP interview experience with United was world class. I recommend the $10 train from the terminal. I stayed at the hotel, and they picked me up at the train station. I walked over early, I would show up at the training center gate about 15 min before show time. When I showed up, a senior Captain greeted me and encouraged me that with my experience, the airline wanted to hire me. She emphasized how much they just wanted to get to know me. From there, I proceeded to a cafeteria where I waited with one other UMPP applicant, and three “Aviate” candidates. We then walked our luggage to a secure storage area. We then walked through a small museum, then a classroom where we were then take back by different UAL personnel to separate briefing rooms. They offered coffee and water. You have to leave all personal electronic devices before you...

Interview went exactly as gouged on this website. I really have nothing to add. 5 TMAATs that are similar to the study guide. Technical LAX-SFO Briefed some of the 13 items in the packet, but he also said to consider some of them briefed. In flight my malfunction was a Yaw Damp light. Ran the QRH and the fault cleared. Advised dispatch and maintenance via ACARS and continued the flight. In SFO went around and held. Given a fuel number and three options to divert. Chose Oakland. Was also... -

Other entries on this site are very accurate in terms of how the start of the experience occurs. LLWS what are we thinking ( to 1 and flaps 1 numbers for my plane brief WS escape manuever). IDG failure run QRH etc. they had me read in on their ipad. diversion (given... -

Entered the lobby, showed identification, got a name badge for security, and signed a form saying the passport is valid. Had time to drop off our luggage in their area and take a restroom break as needed. Took the form and out logbooks with us to the cafeteria and all chatted until the guide Captain and FO came to get us (about 45 mins prior to interview time). Walked through the building to their little museum to show us the history of United and from whence it came. Then, made our way to... -

The interview was laid out exactly how it was on this website. Got there a hour prior, got a tour, then waited for the interview. Interview was probably around a hour. Everyone was extremely friendly. TMAAT then the technical. Pretty straightforward. Review what this website... -

Had the interview in the afternoon, stayed in the hotel across the street and took the shuttle over. Checked in at the front counter, put bags in bag storage, was given a tour around the facilities, had the opportunity to ask some questions. Interview group was 10 or 11 people, and we then waited briefly before being called one by one into the interview room. A few pleasantries, quick review of documents and anything else I'd like to disclose. Then we started the interview. There is a pad of... -

As most people have stated they do a great job of making you feel relaxed. The people you interact with are genuinely happy to be there and glad you are there as well. Panel interview began with a high level tell me about yourself, then 5 TMAAT questions, quick break and then the technical portion. 1 hour and 15 minutes on the dot for me very efficient. They give you all the information you need to he sucessful, prepare to answer your TMAAT questions with the star format, practice with a... -

Started w a high level review of resume in your view. 4-5 min worth about you then on to Tmaat, (view the study guide of this website). Only advice I could give on these is to practice the STAR method of answering. I'm not good at that so they asked me a few questions after each. Sim/scenario: Den-Las Asked questions about sid chart and star into Vegas. G/A callouts on current plane, look into weather and notams at potential airports. Use the 2 in/2 out method for who you... -

Introduced myself, 5 TMAAT questions, short break, then the TSA. I was given DEN-SFO with a brand new FO, clear weather, planned to land in SFO with 6000 lbs of fuel. Used the 13 briefing items, went smoothly. Couple questions about the SID and what altitudes to fly. Got the YAW DAMP light in cruise, ran the checklist, opted to continue. Shot the approach into SFO, went missed, SFO closed. Talked to dispatch for alternates and figured out the fuel situation. Opted for better weather and... -

Started with a high level review of my resume lasting about 4-5 minutes then on to TMAAT questions. Mine had more to do with dealing with conflict and decisions I've regretted. Technical part was straight forward and dealt with a flt from den-las. Started out with my briefing, 13 items included in the study packet they send you, which led to reviewing the sid and star for respective airport. Finally coming in for landing and airport closes so I go around using current company callouts. Check...
