We've Aviation Professionals Prepare for their Interviews!
  • Was emailed by Meghan about a week after submitting my application. We set up a quick phone call where she asked the very basic questions about my experience level, what interested me about Kalitta and if I had any check ride failures. Nothing too out of the blue. She offered me an interview later that day (it was Wednesday and they do their interviews every Wednesday virtually) I set mine up for two weeks from then in order to get a few more...

Interview experience was as advertised. I met with the chief pilot, an HR rep, and a line check airman for the 777 virtually via Teams. After introductions the chief pilot asked me 'why Kalitta'? They liked my answer and moved on to HR. HR already had their answers about yellow fever and Middle East and had nothing additional. The LCA asked what I liked about my current aircraft and then why I went into aviation after getting an engineering degree. After that they asked when i could start...

Video interview. Very low threat: chief pilot, one HR, one captain. Why Kalitta? What do you know about us? Are you fine with their work schedule? Yellow fever vaccination? Flying through active war zones? Do not apply with a restriction on your ATP - that's what probably decided that I wasn't...

I submitted my application 12/31/24, received the email to interview January 3rd 2025. Scheduled interview January 15th. Received job offer January 16th with a class date of February 17th. The interview lasted 10 minutes if that, virtual. I was asked if I am okay with the 16/16 off schedule, am I okay with flying into danger zones, they asked me about 2 things off my resume that they found interesting. Afterwards I was asked if I was okay with taking the yellow fever vaccine, and about any...

Prior submissions are spot on. Asks about ability to handle 16 on 14 off schedule, flying into known war zones, and yellow fever vaccine. Overall a very comfortable and friendly experience. Beyond excited to get...

Overall, the process went as outlined here. I was asked a variety of questions, including about my international flying experience, whether I’ve traveled internationally, and what motivated me to pursue cargo flying. There were also questions about my AQP (Advanced Qualification Program) experience and my thoughts on it, along with a discussion about my training history. No technical questions were asked. The introductions were brief, and the conversation quickly transitioned into,...

I want to preface this by saying 2 years prior, I had turned down a CJO in the past from Kalitta, so my interview already was going to be more difficult... It is a Zoom interview, you join up and there is 3 people. They introduce themselves and then they asked me why I wanted to leave my current company. After that, I was asked if I had any other resumes sent to different companies. I was also asked why I didn't take the job with them 2 years ago. After this, they asked if I was okay flying...

Very straight forward, same questions as what is started on here. Are you willing to be gone for 2 week trips, willing to get yellow feaver vaccine, willing to fly in the middle east. Interview was about 10 minutes long with 3 people, 2 pilots and one HR. Heard back the next day with the...

The gouge on this website was pretty much spot on. After applying, you get sent an interview calendar link with the online assessment. The online assessment consists of various "games" and puzzles to complete. They didn't ask me about it at all during the interview. The actual interview was around 10-15 mins over a Teams meeting. They just wanted to know why Kalitta, if I was ok with flying for 16 days on, (view the study guide of this website). Overall a very relaxed environment...

Interview went just as others have described. Why Kalitta? Are you okay flying into potential warzones? Are you okay with the schedule? I have a few checkride failures from CFI and MEI so they asked about those and how my 121 training has gone. Overall a very nice and laid back...

Pretty much what everyone else has said. It’s an incredibly straight forward interview process. Prior to the interview they’ll send you a link to a 9 part assessment. Don’t over think it. The only section I know I didn’t do great on was the math. It was asking you to find volumes of different shapes, triangle equations, converting different meter/hectare metric values etc. The rest of the assessment was actually kinda fun and it was never brought up in the interview....

  11. This was the second time I’ve used Aviation Interviews and I got the job both times. I’ve found the information gleaned from this website and business has been outstanding and accurate.
