We've Aviation Professionals Prepare for their Interviews!
  • The overall interview was similar to other peoples experiences that I saw on here. With the difference being we did not do a flight Sim and my technical questions were completely different. With any professional interview you should expect questions based on the flying you are doing. The first thing we did was a tour of the facility. The lady is really nice that does the tour with you, but she is watching you and seeing how you interact with the other people. After the tour, we broke for lunch use this time to go back to your room and study. After lunch They sat us in a boardroom at a hotel We did an orientation and they showed us the benefits the pay all of that stuff. Then we had a meeting with HR and they asked us HR related questions or TMAAT questions All of the questions were standard. For the technical portion, they pair you up we were interviewed by a guy named Jack. He is a performance guru If you were coming from the 121 or 135 world expect to know...

I was flown into DAL the night before and given hotel accommodations. There were 2 groups of 6 interviewing at 8am and 11am. The interview started at 7:45am in the conference room where they gave a brief presentation on the benefits, pay, schedule, company culture, etc. Following, they split us up to rotate between 3 stations: HR Interview, Company "Soul" Culture Meeting, and Technical Interview. For the HR and Culture portions, they ask you about yourself, what you're looking for...

Everyone throughout the interview was friendly and professional. I guess because of my military, airline, and Part 135 experience, I was not asked any technical questions. Just a few tell us about yourself and a few tell me about a time questions. They will go through your logbooks, or look at your consolidated flight times that you received from your previous employers. Also included was a tour of the JSX headquarters and out to the jet. I had a morning interview, so I had 3 hours to...

The interview process was pretty much exactly how others described it on here. Started with a meeting going over the company and life as a JSX pilot. There are three interviews. HR, technical, then chief pilot. HR was 1 on 1 and pretty straightforward. Standard TMAAT questions. I was then paired with another pilot candidate for the other two interviews. went over Jepp charts primarily during the technical interview. Talked about performance too. Chief pilot interview was super relaxed, they...

Interview was as described in previous applicants experience. Very straightforward. Be yourself and don't be afraid to show your personality. I highly recommend going to the mixer after the interview as well. Great way to get more face to face time with the hiring team and showcase your personality and why they would want you...

Three interviews in person: HR, Chief pilots, and technical. Then a simulator practical flying a SID and an approach with an instructor as a Copilot. Very welcoming environment and culture. The HR interview was pretty standard such as tell me a time you had a difficult emergency...what did you gain from the experience. Chief pilot part was them getting to know you and see if you can interact well in the cockpit on trips. The technical portion was a spot check of knowledge such as briefing...

Very relaxed atmosphere. No call back after 2 days but I'm fully expecting an offer. 3 interviews: HR (1-on-1), technical (2 applicants with one instructor interviewer), and Chief pilot discussion (2-on-2). Sim was broken so we didn't do it, but they told us the profile was simple: depart from LA, make a turn and hold altitude & airspeed, enter holding at Seal Beach VOR, then get vectors to an ILS. HR questions were predictable, (view the study guide of this website).  ...

Great experience. I felt like I'd nailed the interview so I'm unsure why I wasn't hired. I think maybe because my flight time is quite high relative to other applicants, so maybe they felt I'd leave the company quickly after training? HR questions were straightforward if applicant has read the AviationInterviews gouge. This was 1-on-1 and mine was not with a crew member. Chief pilot discussion was unique and made me feel appreciated. This is where we discussed bases of preference and...

I was asked several HR questions, (view the study guide of this website).  Chief Pilot: Ask mainly about résumé items, total time, multi engine time and so forth. It was really just to get to know you and see if you would fit in the PILOT group. He says that he can teach anybody to fly the jet at this level, but wants to know if you’re going to fit in well with all the pilots. Then Technica...
