  1. 1.  (Dec 09, 2024) My interview was exactly as described in other posts. Started off with a brief history of the interviewer, then asked for a summary of my career and how I got into aviation.   2. 2.  (May 16, 2024) Soon after applying I recived a link to schedule the interview. I was able to book it for a week later. The interview started off very casual, Abby did a very good job at keeping you relaxed, and making the interview a very pleasant experience.  Overall the interview was very similar to how it has been described here. Study Guide Questions for Your Wheels Up Interview:

  1. 1. (May 06, 2024) When are you available to start?
  2. 2. (Dec 13, 2024) How did you get into aviation?
    • Suggested by a family member late in mid school, and non-stop since then
  3. 3. (May 22, 2024) What are standard alternate weather minimums?
    • This answer is the requirement for needing an alternate airport. At the alternate airport the vis needs to be at least 2mi vis, 600’ ceilings for PA or 800’ ceilings for Non PA approaches.
    • 135.221: IFR: Alternate Airport Weather Minimums Aircraft other than rotorcraft. No person may designate an alternate airport unless the weather reports or forecasts, or any combination of them, indicate that the weather conditions will be at or above authorized alternate airport landing minimums for that airport at the estimated time of arrival.
  4. 4. (May 04, 2024) When is an alternate required?
    • 135 minimums. An alternate is always required unless from an hour before until an hour after your estimated time of arrival, 1,500 feet above the lowest circling MDA, or if circling is not authorized, 1,500 feet above the lowest published minimums or 2,000 AGL, whichever is greater, and 2 miles more than the lowest visibility minimums or 3 miles, whichever is greater.

    • Yes

    • Make sure you have the date handy
  7. 7. (Apr 02, 2024) Do you have a first class medical?
    • Yes and be able to tell the date it was given and date it expires.

    • Shows versatility and experience in many different aviation roles. .
    • Having worked in a Public Relations position I know that in an industry where there are a lot of candidates you have to stick out in all honesty that is what I tried to do. It is important however to make everything very simple and not taxing for the reader
  9. 9. (May 06, 2024) Tell us about a time you had a difficult student pilot and what you did about it.
    • Talk with the student about their goals, what problems they might be facing. Y’all with them about what they can do to help overcome their problems. Also, send the student for an evaluation flight with a different instructor.

    • No
