  1. 1.  (Feb 04, 2025) Showed up in the morning for photo and fingerprints. They took copies of our resumes and our logbooks at this stage. I was 1 of 3 people interviewed. We did a presentation of the company and then a brief tour of their headquarters follow. We then broke off for the cognitive test and interview process individually.   2. 2.  (Oct 16, 2024) The interview was in two parts. Sun Country will send you an interview packet to study with answers before the interview. Part 1: Interview with two retired pilots who will ask you technical questions which come from the interview packet. One question outside the packet of questions, "what weather determines if the ILS hold short critical area is active?" 800-2.   1. 1. (Oct 29, 2024) How does a contaminated runway affect performance numbers?
    • Increases landing distance, reduces v1 on takeoff
  2. 2. (Jun 17, 2024) You have to divert due to weather. What do you look at while diverting, after speaking to dispatch about fuel?
    • Acceptable alternate airports with services such as lodging, transportation, food and other options for our passengers. In the unlikely event we need to divert a team will need to created with dispatch, ATC, the flight attendants and my first Officer to discuss our ultimate options.

    • Just a brief 2-3 minute answer will suffice. I said where my interest in aviation came from, which lead me to an aviation university, flight instructed, went to a regional, now I'm here interviewing with you.
  5. 5. (Jun 18, 2024) Have you ever diverted? Walk me through the steps of your diversion.
    • Yes, I explained that I had first made sure we agreed as a crew about our plan of attack then start communicating. Fuel Available, ATC, Dispatch weather conditions at alternate then execute the plan maintaining open communication between all parties and separating flying and non flying duties as appropriate.

    • They just want you to be open and fess up not harp on you for your mistakes.

    • Pretty obvious one. Why did you apply? For me it was the perspective of making MSP my permanent home base.

    • Gave a brief rundown of how I got started and quick history of my training and career.
    • i had a very close relationship whit my grandfather who was a pilot.
    • My father said I had my head towards the heavens everysince I was 2 when a Mash styled B47 flew overhead when I was on my way to daycare.
