Interview Experiences From NetJets Pilot Interviews :

  1. 1.  (Oct 29, 2024) Applied: in the Fall, Teams Screening 8 days later:  In Person Interview: at the end of the month.  Overall a quick and straightforward process. At the in person event the recruiter mentioned they are currently receiving 1,500 applications a month and are looking to hire around 900 pilots a year for the next three years. They’re currently starting an indoc class ever two weeks but starting next year they were going to a class every week. Classes are close to 50 people in... 2. 2.  (Nov 06, 2024) Be prepared for the sim evaluation, especially if this will be your first time flying a Jet! I originally submitted my application early Fall after completing my atp written. After hearing nothing for 3 weeks, I resubmitted and was invited to an teams interview less than an hour after resubmitting it the last week of Fall. (I heard through the grapevine that they cleared the application backlog around that point). I scheduled my teams interview 3 weeks out from the invite.  The teams... Study Guide Questions for Your NetJets Interview:

  1. 1. (Mar 28, 2025) If you were to be hired, how would you contribute to the safety culture here at NetJets?
    • I would continue to lead by example and leadership.
    • I make sure to try to always be prepared for every flight and every scenario. I will hold myself and my captain accountable to ensuring we are in compliance with regulations and company policy
  2. 2. (Jan 23, 2025) What is the difference between good customer service and great customer service?
    • Good customer service is the customer walks away with no complains, great or elite customer service is the customer would walk away with a smile on their face and remember the brand and is likely to recommend it.
    • The largest difference between good and excellent customer service is exceeding expectations. In other words, you go above and beyond what customers expect.
  3. 3. (Jan 25, 2025) What is safety to you?
    • This was asked in the interview. It covers checklist usage,SOP’s and CRM
    • Just asked this question today during the Video conference pre-screen. Basically talked about being prepared both in terms of flight plan, weather, but also experience for the given platform and mission. I spoke about my infrequency of flying into Aspen and how I go about preparing weeks in advance of a trip to ensure I am safe, etc.
  4. 4. (Jan 20, 2025) Tell me about a time you had a conflict with a fellow pilot.
    • Remember that this conflict doesn't have to be dramatic, you don't have much time to set up the scenario, explain what happened and how you resolved it.
    • Make sure to speak openly, and talk WITH the person and not at them.
  5. 5. (Feb 21, 2025) Have you had any tickets or arrests in the past five years?
    • Always be honest. If the background check shows anything that wasn't disclosed in the interview you just removed yourself from consideration
  6. 6. (Feb 07, 2025) When did you go above and beyond to exceed a customer's expectations?
    • Back when I was learning sign language, I would be the individual at my grocery store to walk with deaf customers and help them select items.
    • Attempt to go above and beyond with every flight. I try to know the customers history and personality or pick up on cues that help me understand them on a more personal level. I use that information to make their flight experience superior to other carriers by surprising them with a small gift or a tour of the cockpit or a type of drink/food or a card. Whatever it takes to have an elevated experience.
  7. 7. (Feb 02, 2025) Tell me about a time you've had to demonstrate crew resource management.
    • We lost a engine and i quickly saw the value of crm as I had to deal with flying and my sic had to do everything else
  8. 8. (Mar 26, 2025) Have you ever failed a checkride?
    • Yes, gave my story and lessons learned.
  9. 9. (Jan 19, 2025) Why should we hire you?
    • I am a highly experienced pilot dedicated to safety and customer service!
    • Because being a NetJet pilot is so much more than just 'flying...' Ultimately, the it's Safety plus customer service, which means understanding and anticipating customer needs, as well as recognizing that at times, the customer wants to be left alone to finish work, etc etc
  10. 10. (Mar 19, 2025) Why do you want to work at NetJets?
    • Great opportunity to fly for the premiere private aviation company in the world
    • Because it is the leader in safety and customer service!
    • Largest private company on Earth. Always leading. Every other company is trying to be NetJets, so I want to work for the leader
    • After looking for the best company that best fits my goals and expectations, I found in Netjets a company with years of experience where safety is first, As well with a big diversity in their fleet.

What types of things will be asked in a Simulator or Scenario exercise?

  1. (Dec 15, 2024)  I was in the Challenger 350. Takeoff from Rwy 4L at Newark and fly the SID. All hand flown but with the flight director on. They’ll have you climb once to demonstrate the altitude change SOP and then into steep turns with the flight director turned off, 180 degrees each direction. After those are complete the passenger comes up and says he...Continue reading simulator / scenario information..

  2. (Sep 18, 2024)  Mine was the CRJ200. 25 years old. No motion, no sound, no visual except a screen in front of which ever seat is flying!! It is flying a video game. It's tough, but doable. They load the FMS, so the EWR departure points are there to fly with the FD and no need for heading changes, as well as the MA points if needed. Everything about the sim is a couple of generations old, but...Continue reading simulator / scenario information..
