2. (Feb 04, 2025) Flexjet really does a terrific job of making the interview process simple and easy. We were lodged at a hotel South. Transportation and hotel were all booked ahead of time. At the hotel let them know that you need a different shuttle than their normal schedule and that you are going to the Center and they'll hook you up. Breakfast is at 0600 and the shuttle time of 0630 worked well for our 0730 start time. Initially they'll give you a brief about the company. This lasted a little over an... What types of things will be asked in a Simulator or Scenario exercise?
-
(Nov 24, 2024) JFK Rwy 22L, 400 ft ceiling at night with a right crosswind. Provide a takeoff brief to your copilot then a normal takeoff up to 3,000 ft and 200 knots. It’s a faster funnier pattern so expect the first left turn to crosswind while you’re still climbing out so you’ll need to level, watch speed and heading all at the same time trying to figure out the heavy flights controls and the trim. Not impossible but a lot going on. The copilot is great and will setup the heading bugs, speed bug, call for gear and flaps, etc. He’ll back you up on...Continue reading simulator / scenario information..

(Jun 12, 2024) The sim went just as others have mentioned here and as Flexjet explained in their pre-interview material. 2 of you go in at a time, so figure out who will go first. Takeoff Rwy 22L at KJFK to the radar pattern, then ILS to 22L for the full stop. Then reset for the V1 cut. WX is 400-1 with a 10 knot crosswind. You hop in, adjust your seat and rudder pedals - make sure you can get full deflection and rudder boost. The PNF explains how to use your trim and will any other questions you have. (In hindsight, I wish I would have asked about the rudder boost, because I'd never flown in an aircraft with it.) Once everything is set,...Continue reading simulator / scenario information..
