Interview Experiences From Dynamic Aviation Pilot Interviews :

  1. 1.  (Oct 25, 2024) I went to the job fair that was held earlier this month and applied for the ADA Captain position.  Upon arriving I was checked in and told that there would be a small wait as there were other pilots interviewing ahead of me. The interviewer was a line pilot so I was able to ask day in the life... Continue reading this interview experience..

Part 1 is a "simulator" assessment using a PC-ATD, (view the sim/scenario section in the study guide of this website).  Part 2 was a face to face with the HR manager and a hiring manager. The Site Manager was a part of the interview as well via Teams. Then questions.  They also want honest feedback on the simulator portion and your goals. What types of things will be asked in a Simulator or Scenario exercise?

The sim is evaluating instrument scanning abilities as well as being able to navigate without gps, in a non radar environment using only NDB, VORs, DME and ILS. Before the sim, I was given a tour of the facilities and talked more about the type of missions that I would be conducting. 2. Part 1 is a "simulator" assessment using a PC-ATD. They have a number of point A - to - point B scenarios flying old-school VOR to VOR (you do not have GPS) then fly an instrument approach to a landing / missed approach. They use a quantitative measurement to score the flight. This is a "pass/fail" system. If you pass, you move onto the Hiring Team interview; if you fail, you go home. For the evaluation, the evaluator will give you the scenario, he/she's willing to answer questions until you and he/she agree...Continue reading simulator / scenario information..
