2. I met the HR team 1st time at a recruitment event in Miami, and they were super easy to talk to. I handed in my resume, and received an email within a week after the chief pilot reviewed my documents. My official interview was with a senior FO and a senior HR representative. The interview lasted about 1 hour. First 20 minutes with HR, 30 minutes for technical/ decision making, 10 minutes for Q&A. The overall experience was very relaxed and enjoyable. Study Guide Questions for Your Amerijet Interview:
- 1. What would you do if the Fo read back taxi instructions with missing information, but the controller accepted it?
- I will recall the controller to clarify again taxi instructions and try to write it down
- Trying to clarify those missing words or procedures that he forgot to tell about during the briefing
- 2. Do you have any accidents or incidents on your record?
- No
- 3. What would you do if you experienced an engine failure on short final?
- Land.
- 4. What is the max holding speed at 6,000ft?
- 200 kias
- 5. What is V1? How does it change with RWY condition?
- Decision speed, go no go. Contaminated runway decreases V1
- 6. What is your actions if you lost an engine right at V1?
- Continue take off.
- V1 is your decision speed (so abort). Amerijet will actually train to call it 5 knots below due to the momentum and speed of acceleration).
- 7. What makes a good pilot?
- Skill, Trusth and Comunication.
- 8. Have you had any Failed check rides?
- No, never, thanks god!!
- Yes, I failed my private checkride and I have two 135 failures at a previous company
- 9. Tell us a little about yourself?
- I am a serious person of Spanish origin born and raised in Venezuela. I have two nationalities, 1 son in Spain and a stepdaughter in the USA with special needs. Married to a great woman and a lover of good food, cars, airplanes and classic motorcycles.

- Amerijet chose it because it is a company that has existed since 1974 and that shows job security and that it does its job well, so it is based in Miami, which is where I live, in addition to having an excellent cargo operation and good planes to do it.
