1. I interviewed at AA it was the middle ground interview. Showed up in a small colorful room where an admin goes over check-in and paperwork items. Logbooks were collected and some info was verified. I had an issue with paperwork as I left a few items redacted as had been requested by other applications (SSN, etc). After that, we toured the Museum and saw a welcome video in the AA Theater which was neat. Next we went to the DC3 where tables were arranged and we were picked by a... 2. (Jul 17, 2024) The questions on here are generally the same. They might be worded differently the day of the interview. Have a good list of situations to story tell about. The actual story doesnt matter as much as how you answer the questions. They want the "STAR" method. Situation, Task, Action, Resolution. Tell them the situation, tell them what you needed to do, how you did it, how it got resolved, and what you took away/learned from the situation. The "technical" questions are... - 2. How do you prepare ahead of time when flying into a challenging airport?
- As the PIC, you have an obligation to ensure safe travel for not only the passengers, but the aircrew as well. For any unfamiliar airfield, a thorough pre-brief plays an important factor in mitigating challenges once on the ground. This includes any STAR, specific runway instructions, taxi diagram review, hotspots--anything that could potentially become a situational awareness sucker.
- 3. (Jun 20, 2024) What would you do if on final the weather changed to wet runway and 8kt tailwind, 1/2sm vis and 200ft ceilings?
- Go around, get appropriate performance data plan for different runway if necessary/possible. I was asked a question like this but the "wet runway" was reported as standing patches of water on a short runway. at min fuel. In which case I elected to go to the alternate as there is no way of knowing the depth of said patches or effects on braking.
- First of situation awareness, where are we, nearest suitable airports for potential deviation. 2- am I legal to land? Mins good for Cat1, tailwind within limits, runway RCAm 2 braking action medium-poor. Any MEL? Send numbers. If performance capabilities are met then landing is an option. How much fuel we have? Would we still have enough fuel in case we abort take off to make it to our filed alt or any nearest suitable airport?. If the answer is yes then is up to you
- 4. (Jan 17, 2025) What would you do if you were a DH , and PAX is arguing with FA about a carry on?

- 7. What would you do if LGA – DFW, you are 200NM from LIT when ATC tells you that DFW is closed for TS and tells you to hold at LIT with an EFC of 1hr. Filed alternate is LBB
- Ask atc why your are holding. Inform dispatch of the situation. Crm to decide fuel requirements. Ask FO to see if LBB is a practical alternate or to consider another airport etc. If fuel or an extended delay isn't an issue then you CONTINUE to dfw
- 8. (Jul 22, 2024) What would you do if you were a CA deadheading, when a verbal altercation erupts between a passenger and a flight attendant? People have their phones out recording.
