  2. 2.  (Aug 30, 2024) Met near MIA airport with two retired pilots. Both guys were extremely friendly and even told us to remove our ties which I personally thought was kinda cool. They gave us an orientation about the company and told us why they were hiring and what we can expect at training and what to expect from ABX in general.   1. 1. (Dec 16, 2024) What is RVSM airspace?
    • Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) airspace is airspace between flight levels (FL) 290 and 410 where eligible aircraft are separated vertically by 1,000 feet instead of the previous 2,000-foot minimum. This allows aircraft to fly more efficiently, save fuel, and increase airspace capacity.
  2. 2. (Dec 16, 2024) What would your steps following a reroute from ATC be?
    • Program the FMS for the diversion. Check to see that I have adequate fuel for that reroute. Get the latest weather and notams. Speak to dispatch and inform them of the reroute. Speak to the flight attendants and passengers.

    • I told a story about a crew member who had a reputation for being difficult to fly with for many different reasons. I talked about how I truly think misunderstandings in the flight deck are normally centered around communication differences. I told them how we sat down after day one of flying to discuss what was the best way for us to enjoy our trip and safely operate everyday and it led to a truly enjoyable trip after a little face to face communication.
