- Tell us about an emergency situation you were involved in, how did you handle it?
There was a time where my mom had asked my brother to get this bug that was running around. My brother springs into action and all of a sudden I start to hear screaming coming from him and my mom. I rush into the kitchen where they were and I remember seeing my brother on the floor screaming and freaking out as well as my mom. I quickly try to not panic even though I was , I try to take control of the situation and I look into my brothers eyes and I tell him okay Ben you have to get up because either you're knee will pop back into place or you're going to stay here so you have to try to stand up okay and then we can take you to the hospital. So I remember telling him this and the confidence and security that I was able to provide for him allowed him to get back up off the floor and stand up straight. Surprisingly his knee did pop back into place and he was able to walk. After we instantly took him to the emergency where he was given a brace for his knee.
The situation was when my 12 year old daughter fell out of the bed having a epileptic seizure for the 1st time. Me and my ex-husband was totally caught off guard because we didn't know she had epilepsy. However my nursing training immediately kicked into effect. I remained calm, I turned her on her side so she wouldn't choke and held her there until the seizure passed. then I checked her to make sure she didn't hurt herself from the fall then proceeded to take her to the emergency room.
When emergencies and unforeseen deadlines arise, I quickly jump to address those and reorganize my priority list accordingly. - Tell me about your stressful moment at work and how did you handle it?
I think communicating well is a key to making sure I don’t get stressed or overwhelmed. - What drives you?
Working in a team and leading one, is my motivation to do a good job.
I work at a restaurant and all of a sudden had too many tables. I politely told each table that I would be with him as soon as possible and let them know what was going on. As a result all tables for happy. - A passenger is smoking an e-cigarette on the plane. What do you do?
I would politely ask the passenger to stop. If the passenger is unwilling to put out the cigarette immediately I will try to reason in the passenger. If the passengers unwilling to reason I will remove myself from the situation and get another flight attendant or Pilot involved. - There is a couple with a crying baby, the passengers around them are annoyed. What do you do?
Asked the mother if there’s anything you can do to help comfort her or her baby. If there’s open seats available elsewhere in the plane offer to move the couple that is complaining. if there are no available seats, Offer free headphones by three listening devices for a couple. - Why should Hawaiian Airlines hire you?
You should hire me as your flight attendant because I am confident that I am able to do the job that you require and more. As somebody who’s been working on the customer service field, I know how to manage expectations and most especially exceed them through my excellent service.

Actually I always double or triple times check what I need to do, before having customers. I don’t recall about any mistake with customers. But if I would be the face of it, I would ask a manager and have instructions to operate as much as I can to make our customers happy. - You are preparing for take off & one of the other flight attendants is texting & responding to social media, what would you do?
