Hotel Comments:

Nice place. It's downtown, of course. If you want a really nice view of the city, go to the "Sundial" bar at the top of the hotel (you need to go down to the lobby to catch the exclusive elevator to the dial).
Internet has been wired, but they're converting to wireless. Just purchase it and they'll comp it off your bill.
If your room is wired and you're getting spotty service, try the wireless.

Tons! There's an Indian place about a block from where the van drops you off.
There's a Hooters & Hard Rock Cafe across the street.
There's some Mexican sort of place across from the Hard Rock (called fire something or other...can't remember the name of it)
Another block down (walking past the Hooters), there's a 24 hour place called "The Metro Cafe". Diverse menu and unbelievable desserts (about 20 different 7-layer cakes to choose from and cheesecakes).
There's a McDonalds next to the Hooters...DON'T GO TO IT. I waited 45 minutes in line...and the line wasn't that big. You think the Cleveland Airport Burger King is bad? I thought it might be a fluke, so on a subsequent ATL overnight, I tried it again (went in at 1:30PM)...I wated 55 minutes.
So, unless you're just craving McDonalds and you have an hour to give up of your over-night, I'd stay away from it.
By the way, that hour did not include actually eating. That was just to get the food.

Things To Do:
|
|
The Georgia Aquarium is just down the street. World's largest all indoor aquarium. Pretty cool (went there with my family).
The CNN Center is near the aquarium. Kind of a mall & food court atmosphere.
The Underground. Have not been there yet, but heard people raving about it.
